The Return to Her Fund

A scholarship for the woman who’s ready to come home to herself.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why I still do this.

After all these years… after photographing hundreds upon hundreds of women… after watching tears turn into laughter and insecurity turn into confidence…

I’ve realized something.

This has never really been about photography.

Photography is simply the invitation.

The real work happens in what comes afterward.

It happens the moment a woman stops apologizing for taking up space.

When she sees herself with kinder eyes.

When she realizes the story she’s believed about herself isn’t actually true.

When she remembers who she was before the world convinced her she wasn’t enough.

That moment…

That’s why I do this.

When I first picked up a camera, I thought I wanted to create beautiful photographs.

What I didn’t realize was that I would spend my career watching women reclaim themselves.

I’ve watched women celebrate after beating cancer.

I’ve photographed women after divorce, after heartbreak, after becoming mothers, after losing themselves, after finding themselves again.

I’ve held space for women who hadn’t looked at themselves with love in decades.

And every single one has reminded me that healing doesn’t always happen in therapy.

Sometimes it happens when someone simply sees you differently…

until eventually, you begin to see yourself differently too.

The last few years have changed me.

The burnout.

The healing.

My accident.

Learning to stop abandoning myself.

Learning that becoming isn’t about adding more…

It’s about letting go of everything that was never really mine to carry.

Because of that, my work has changed too.

It isn’t about creating “sexy” photographs.

It isn’t about looking perfect.

It isn’t even about confidence anymore.

It’s about coming home.

To your body.

To your softness.

To your power.

To the woman you’ve always been underneath the expectations, the people-pleasing, the self-doubt, and the endless striving.

That’s why I’ve created The Return to Her Fund.

This year I’ve quietly set aside a portion of my portrait sales to create The Return to Her Fund. Not because I believe women need to earn this experience, but because I know how often we talk ourselves out of choosing ourselves.

Sometimes all it takes is a little invitation to stop waiting.

I’ll be selecting five stories:

♡ Their session fee completely covered.

♡ Professional hair and makeup.

♡ A personalized planning consultation.

♡ A $500 credit toward any image collection.

This isn’t a contest.

You don’t have to have the hardest story.

You don’t need the “right” body.

You don’t need to prove you’re worthy.

I’m simply looking for women who feel something stirring inside them.

Women who are ready.

Women who are tired of waiting until they lose the weight…

Until they feel confident…

Until life settles down…

Until they become someone else.

Because the truth is…

The woman you’re waiting to become…

is waiting for you.
