What made you decide to book a boudoir shoot?
I had been silently creeping on Jolene’s Facebook page and website for quite some time. I kept saying I should do a session soon, maybe in a few months. I kept making excuses to myself on why I needed push it off; the holidays or I didn’t work out enough. Boudoir photos came up in a conversation amongst my friends, and then I realized I should just go for it. I wanted to surprise my husband with something special for taking on more of the care for our kids while I returned to school all while making myself feel sexy at the same time. I finally stopped creeping and went for it!
Did you have any fears going into your session?
No fears really, but I am self conscious about some of the areas of my body from having two children and was worried those areas would be a problem. So not true! Jolene knew the perfect poses to flatter my body.
How was the actual session different from what you expected (if at all)?
I actually wasn’t really sure what to expect. It was very laid back and almost relaxing for me, and super fun! I felt extremely comfortable throughout the entire session.
What was your favorite part of the entire experience? (hair and makeup, the shoot, image reveal, giving the images etc..)
Do I have to pick just one part? I loved getting my pampered with my hair and makeup being professional done. It makes the whole thing less stressful so I could just focus on me and not worry about if I did my make up correctly for the occasion. However, my favorite part was the when we did the photos with the water droplets. So hot!
How has the response been to your images?
Actually I don’t know yet! I have only shown a close friend because my husband hasn’t seen them yet. They are a soon to be future gift. Shhhhh… :). I know he is going to love them as well as my close friends!
What is your advice for women interested in a boudoir experience?
Just go for it! Every women deserves to feel hot and sexy. Even if you are nervous at first I promise you will feel great afterwards.
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of your experience?
Beauty is so much more than looks and that is easy to forget. Being a wife, mother, student, friend, daughter, etc. is hard and none of those things have to do with looks, but are just as beautiful.
