Welcome to the blog! I have been heavily shooting boudoir for 3 years now and I am FINALLY starting this blog. It’s been on my list forever and it feels great to check it off my list. It’s been crazy busy the year and I am currently booking into mid January of 2018. If you are hoping to book a session January – March of 2018 stay tuned for a black friday sale! It’s going to be a good one!
The first session I’d like to blog is a special one. A gift for her man before he was to head off to Afghanistan.
Thank you both so much for your sacrifice.
What is your age? 32
What do you do for a living? NICU nurse
What made you decide to book a boudoir session? My boyfriend was going off to Afghanistan for a year and I wanted to get him a great gift to take with him
Did you have any fears about your boudoir session? Yes. I had recently gained 10 pounds from stress and I thought I was going to look like a whale in the pictures but I didn’t. Jolene made me feel so comfortable!! She is amazing with lighting and positions that I was my natural self and looked amazing!
How was the actual session different from what you expected (if at all)? I think it was what I expected. I have always wanted to do it but I didn’t expect to be so nervous!!
What was your favorite part of the entire experience? (hair and makeup, the shoot, image reveal, giving the images etc…) Doing the shoot and the image reveal!! The shoot was the best part for me because I felt so sexy and my mind was taken off other things that were going on. But the image reveal was so much fun because I took my boyfriend with me to see them for the first time! We were both in awe and he actually picked pictures that I never would have thought I would.
How has the response been to your images? Everyone has loved them. I think I have shown half my coworkers 🙂 and my boyfriend loves them over seas along with a few of his buddies that have seen his screen saver.
What is your advice for women interested in such a session? Have fun!! I was completely nervous in the beginning and you can kinda tell in the photos but once I started having fun with it the end result turned out even more amazing.
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of the session? That others see me differently than myself. I hate my smile in pictures but come to find out most people love it.

As a photographer, the significance of intent cannot be overstated. I create photographs of women for themselves first and foremost. While some clients may choose to share their pictures with their significant others, my primary objective is to craft imagery for YOU first and foremost. I want you to look at your images and FEEL something. I want your images make you feel powerful, confident and self aware. I want your images to remind you of where you are right now. What you’ve overcome and where you are heading.

I photographed my first boudoir photoshoot in 2007, and since then I have been in absolute awe of what boudoir shoots do for women and their self confidence. As a woman myself I completely understand the struggle. It’s getting better out there, but we are still constantly bombarded with messages of not being good enough. […]
