What is your age? 30
What do you do for a living? Office work
What made you decide to book a boudoir shoot?
I’ve been wanting to for quite a while. I wanted to as a surprise for my husband, but also (and more importantly) for myself. I am constantly picking at every little thing I don’t like about myself and thought this would be a good way to boost my confidence.
Did you have any fears going into your session?
Of course. The fear of being found out (since it was a surprise), the fear of what I would look like on camera and how the hell do I make a sexy face?! A lot of self-consciousness going on.
How was the actual session different from what you expected (if at all)?
Jolene has this way of making you feel super comfortable even though you’re doing something that you may be totally scared/nervous about doing. She is constantly complimenting you and making you feel beautiful. Jolene tells you exactly how to pose and where to look and what to do to get the best photos.
What was your favorite part of the entire experience? (hair and makeup, the shoot, image reveal, giving the images etc..)
My favorite part was the shoot. Even though I didn’t know what the shots looked like yet, I was feeling sexy and beautiful.
How has the response been to your images?
I haven’t shown my husband yet, but my girlfriend loved them and said she was so jealous!
What is your advice for women interested in a boudoir experience?
Do it. You won’t regret it! But be prepared to be sore afterward!
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of your experience?
Now I know I have a booty 😉 I booked this months out with the intention of having lots of time to work out and get in better shape. Well, that didn’t happen. But I learned that I am still beautiful just as I am. Thank you, Jolene!

As a photographer, the significance of intent cannot be overstated. I create photographs of women for themselves first and foremost. While some clients may choose to share their pictures with their significant others, my primary objective is to craft imagery for YOU first and foremost. I want you to look at your images and FEEL something. I want your images make you feel powerful, confident and self aware. I want your images to remind you of where you are right now. What you’ve overcome and where you are heading.

I photographed my first boudoir photoshoot in 2007, and since then I have been in absolute awe of what boudoir shoots do for women and their self confidence. As a woman myself I completely understand the struggle. It’s getting better out there, but we are still constantly bombarded with messages of not being good enough. […]
