And let me say this right out of the gate… 40 is a power age.
It’s the age where you stop asking for permission.
The age where you’ve earned your softness and your strength.
The age where you finally realize you don’t need to shrink, smooth, hide, or “fix” yourself to be worthy of being photographed.

One of the biggest misconceptions about boudoir is that it’s about transforming into some hyper polished, barely recognizable version of yourself.

This session wasn’t about pretending she’s 25 again.
It wasn’t about chasing youth or hiding a life well lived.
That’s not what we do here.
It was about honoring exactly who she is right now.
The laugh lines.
The curves that came from living.
The confidence that didn’t exist ten years ago but is absolutely present now.
She didn’t need to perform. She didn’t need to “know how to pose.” That’s my job.
Her job was simply to show up.
And she did.

I photograph women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. And if I’m being honest?
Women 40+ are magic.
You’ve lived enough life to know what matters.
You’ve likely spent years putting everyone else first.
You’ve earned your confidence the hard way.

Boudoir at 40 isn’t about proving anything.
It’s about reclaiming something.
Your body.
Your sensuality.
Your sense of self.

Almost every woman says it.
And almost every woman waits.
They tell themselves they’ll book after they lose the weight.
After they feel more confident.
After life slows down.
Here’s the truth.
Confidence doesn’t come before the shoot. It comes from it.
This client didn’t walk in feeling like a supermodel.
She walked out seeing herself differently forever.
That’s the work.
That’s the shift.
That’s why this matters.

That little tug in your chest?
That “maybe someday” voice?
That’s your sign.
Not someday.
Not “when things settle down.”
Not when you’re younger, thinner, braver.
Now.

And if you’re going to do this, do it with someone who understands women, bodies, aging, confidence, and how deeply personal this experience is.
I’ve photographed hundreds (thousands?) of women.
I will guide you through every pose, every expression, every moment.
You will never be left wondering what to do or how you look.

You don’t need to be fearless.
You just need to show up.

If you’re turning 40, already 40, or well past it… this chapter deserves to be documented.
And I would be honored to do that for you.
Ready when you are.

As a photographer, the significance of intent cannot be overstated. I create photographs of women for themselves first and foremost. While some clients may choose to share their pictures with their significant others, my primary objective is to craft imagery for YOU first and foremost. I want you to look at your images and FEEL something. I want your images make you feel powerful, confident and self aware. I want your images to remind you of where you are right now. What you’ve overcome and where you are heading.

I photographed my first boudoir photoshoot in 2007, and since then I have been in absolute awe of what boudoir shoots do for women and their self confidence. As a woman myself I completely understand the struggle. It’s getting better out there, but we are still constantly bombarded with messages of not being good enough. […]
